Community cookbook issued by the North Gardena Methodist Church, which was founded in 1960 to serve the area's growing Japanese American population. The cookbook contains recipes for a wide variety of foods, including Japanese American and Chinese American dishes, as well as a section entitled "Recipes from Foreign Countries" which is primarily more traditional Chinese and Japanese recipes, like Norimaki Sushi and Coconut Kanten. More standard American and European-American fare, such as Hamburger Stroganoff and Poulet Chasseur, is also included.
