A scarce cookbook of Native American foodways, inscribed by Momfeather (Martha "Momfeather" Erickson, 1939-2017) on the title page. Momfeather, a Cherokee Elder from eastern Kentucky, founded the Mantle Rock Native Education and Cultural Center, in Mantle Rock, Kentucky, and in 2019 was inducted into the state's Civil Rights Hall of Fame.
The cookbook includes a variety of recipes from a number of different Native American tribes, such as Cherokee Dog Heads and Navajo Acorn Bread, Apache Wild Goose, Choctaw Tonshla Bona, Oglala Sioux Venison, and much more.
