No. 15 of an edition limited to 25, pencil signed and dated ("July '75") in the lower border by Sharon Orr. A scarce poster by the Women's Prison Legal Education Project, a Bay Area legal aid organization that may not have been long-lived, as we find only one mention in digitized area newspapers in May 1975.. The poster features a quote from a poem by Claudia Grayson, aka Sister Sheba, a Black Panther Party member until 1971, when she went underground and then was arrested, serving time at the California Institute for Women; she continued to be an activist for the Black Panthers, among other radical groups, after her release. The poem, titled, "I Remember CIW," includes the lines "I remember being watched / I remember the fear / of being caught being me," which are used here.
