Handbill for the influential 1972 prison action conference, "The Struggle Inside," held January 28-30 at UC Berkeley's Pauley Ballroom. One side of the handbill describes the ongoing prisoners' rights movement and how the conference will provide "a forum for self education and exploration of potential action to assist the prison movement." The verso is a schedule of events, which includes film showings, speakers, workshops, and skits. Over 600 people attended the conference, which may have been the first of its kind.
