Ithaca, New York: The Dragon Press, (1932). First edition. 7-1/2 x 5-1/4 inches. [2],44pp. White wrappers with yapp edges printed in black. Light soiling and toning to wrappers; spine neatly repaired; small loss to corner of front endpaper. Ink inscription to front endpaper, illegible. Good.

Scarce first edition of the author's second book, about which a contemporary reviewer wrote, "Unlike most of the disciples of impressionistic verse today, a la Gertrude Stein, the author manages to convey ideas of worth in her poems, and not merely sound and sense impressions" (Columbia Missourian, April 22, 1932, p. 10).

Young (1902-1933) was an avant garde American poet and editor, notably, with co-editors Charles Henri Ford and Parker Tyler, of Blues: A Magazine of New Rhythms. Little studied today, Young was widely published during her lifetime, including in Harlem Renaissance anthologies.
