Scarce handout advertising a series of lectures given by Gilman at the Gamut Club, in New York City, possibly primarily to women, at least according to one contemporary newspaper account. Someone, presumably Gilman, has written at the top of the card, "Have been giving these" (see note below). The lectures cost $3.00 for the course or 75¢ apiece, and were titled, "Our Beliefs and our Behavior"; "Humanity and its Works"; "Men, their Successes and Errors"; "Women, their Virtues and Failures"; "Children and the Brain"; "My Country and our World".

Provenance: from a former bookseller who acquired it in a collection of signed and inscribed Gilman material, and who sold off the other pieces of the collection many years ago. Given this, and the comparisons we have been able to make of the handwriting to letters of Gilman's, we feel relatively confident asserting that the notation is, in fact, her hand.
