Collection of Promotional Materials for Far Right Publications
(various): (various), Circa 1975-1995. 48 pieces, of various sizes and paginations; a few single sheet items and a few approx. 40pp catalogs, but most items approx. 10pp. Scattered toning and minor creasing; short tears to a few edges of some of the tabloid-format pieces. Very Good or better overall.
A collection of promotional materials for books and other media issued by far right publishers, documenting the book history of roughly 20 years of 20th century American extremism. A wide range of topics are covered in these publications, including David Duke and the KKK, Holocaust revisionism and other examples of antisemitism, gun control, welfare, socialism, taxation, race (i.e., racist theories about racial difference), the ruling elite, and other hot-button issues of the far right, in many if not most cases overtly influenced by Christian fundamentalism.
The publishers include: Emissary Publications, the Omni/Christian Book Club, Sons of Liberty, Institute for Historical Review, CPA Book Publisher, and other national distributors, as well as smaller publishing houses like Howard Allen, Bradley R. Smith, and Tom Davis.
An uncommon compilation of material, much of which appears to be scarcely held, if at all, institutionally.
