In his catalogue of the Atwater Collection, Christopher Hoolihan delineates the differences between several of the earliest editions, of which this copy doesn't meet any of the specifications. We date it to circa 1925 based on a footnote promoting \"Sanitube,\" the earliest advertisements for which we find in newspapers from 1924.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eUnlike earlier editions, this one uses less radical language when urging women, especially working women, \"to see that the human material for exploiters and militarists is curtailed in the interests of all useful and productive members of society.\" It also skirts direct mention of abortion, while still providing methods of contraception and early termination of pregnancy. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDivided into six sections: Introduction; A Nurse's Advice to Women; Douches and Their Importance; The Use of the Condom or \"Cots\"; Sponges and Cotton Plugs; and Vaginal Suppositories. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSee Atwater 3084, etc, and Table 5.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"[Birth Control \/ Women].
