An autobiographical BDSM bildunsroman, in which the gay narrator traces his early life and sexual awakening -- dating girls to pass as straight, having vanilla sex with fellow sailors while serving in the Navy, and so on -- until he discovers his passion for being a masochist. The bulk of the narrative is devoted to this latter erotic experience, and told through photo-illustrated explicit sexual encounters.

This edition possibly predating the editions held in OCLC, given its lack of publication information and plain wrappers. Nevertheless, OCLC locates five holdings of the two volume edition.
