The WWI diary of Harold Barclay (1872-1922), who entered the war as a captain in the Roosevelt Hospital Unit; Barclay later served as a major in the 42nd (Rainbow) Division during the fighting at Château-Thierry and St.-Mihiel, and was a lieutenant-colonel upon his discharge.
