Regular price $60.00 $0.00

Chicago: Acme Newspictures, Inc., 1944. 8-1/8" x 6". B/w press photo, descriptive text on paper affixed to verso, publisher's stamp to verso. Minor wear; slight staining to bottom edge.

One of the more unusual photos of women supporting the war effort, we note its use in at least three papers in February and March 1944. Ms. York does not, however, appear to have been a buccaneer in any real sense of the term.
