Violets Blue Calendar for 1887.
New York: International Art Publishing Co., Ltd., . Approx. 20 x 37 cm when opened; each panel 20 x 6 cm (at widest point). Sturdy white stock printed in full color and gilt chromolithography, with die-cut white and purple violets along the top edge and to the sides of each panel. Bound at the base with an eye post, through which an ornamental string with tassels is tied. One die-cut petal on last panel creased, one tiny ornamental nub on the first panel pushed forward a bit, still, in remarkably fine condition. Near Fine.
No. 7936. A charming ten-panel hand fan calendar -- with two months each on the fourth and last panels, and one month each on the remaining panels -- illustrated alternatingly with images of children and houses. Uncommon, particularly in this condition. Not located in OCLC, although we note at least one other fan by this company at the Winterthur.
