Hand-colored b&w paper doll of a fashionably-dressed woman with her hand on her hip, housing a silk menu printed in black with a chromolithograph die-cut of three cherubs affixed at the top. Heavy crease to doll's skirt, with some loss to color overlay; foxing to edges of menu. Good+.
An innovatively designed menu for a banquet held at Bergez-Frank's Old Poodle Dog Restaurant in San Francisco on February 15, 1913. The fare includes Toke Point oysters, Green Turtle soup, Striped Bass, Frogs' Legs, Supreme of Chicken, Asparagus in Mousseline Sauce, Canvasback Duck a la Tour d'Argent, Alaska Omelette, Camembert and Roquefort Cheeses, Fruit in Season, and Special Coffees. Suggested beverage pairings include a Gibson cocktail, Riesling, Moet and Chandon, with champaigne and triple-sec punch apparently being served alongside the dishes.
