The James Brown Reader
San Francisco: Distributed by The More Distribution Company, (1968). 27.5 x 21 cm. pp. Orange stapled wrappers printed in black. Slight rusting to binding staples, else fine. Near Fine.
Children's book about James Brown and how much the young African American children featured in the book like to listen and dance to his music: "We like James Brown records. / Can you D-I-G-I-T? / If you can't, I can." Includes aspects of radicalism, with one girl in an illustration wearing a "Free Huey" button. Illustrated from pen and ink drawings by Matabala, and possibly meant for use as a coloring book.
OCLC locates five holdings, and we note one other, at Princeton.
